About The Volvo V60 Cross Country

Today's vehicle market is tough for people who aren't interested in SUVs. It's even worse if those people also want ample cargo space, offroad capabilities, and a luxury interior. Fortunately, Volvo is here to help. The V60 Cross Country is a mix of a traditional wagon and offroad machine, with all of the functionality of an SUV, but in a road-hugging wagon form that handles in ways SUVs can only dream of. And you can enjoy that handing in the comfort of a luxury cabin, featuring sophisticated Scandinavian design and the latest in technology.
What the Critics Say
"We love wagons; they ride lower to the ground, often weigh less than similarly sized SUVS, and tend to handle better-so they're more fun to drive. If your mind conjures a dowdy image at the mention of the "w" word, know that the V60 models are anything but drab. Upscale exterior styling gives way to a luxe interior with ample tech features." -- Car & Driver
"Front seat comfort is nothing short of amazing, with highly adjustable and supportive seat cushions, not to mention optional ventilation and massage functions. It also offers more supportive rear seats than competitors. Unlike the standard V60, the Cross Country's extra ride height and suspension travel afford a plush, SUV-like ride, but without the instability of a high center of gravity." -- Edmunds
What's New for 2024
After some styling tweaks last year, Volvo hasn't changed much about the V60 Cross Country, but there have been some improvements nonetheless. For one, there is no longer an upcharge for metallic paint, all shades now cost the same. Speaking of paint, Black Stone has been replaced with Vapor Gray. Onyx Black is still available, so no worries if you had your heart set on black. Lastly, a power liftgate and air purifier are now standard equipment.
Volvo V60 Cross Country Features

The Ultimate In Versatility
Quite often, vehicle manufacturers provide functionality at the expense of enjoyable driving dynamics. But the V60 Cross Country proves that there is a better option. The low center of gravity makes the Cross Country safer than an SUV, but also more fun to drive, and the 247-horsepower engine and standard all-wheel drive add to both of these benefits. Behind the back seats you'll find 18.3 cubic feet, quite a noticeable increase over the 11.6 cubic feet of trunk space found in the S60 sedan that the V60 is based on. The V60 Cross Country also has 7.8 inches of ground clearance and lower body protection, allowing for better offroading ability than you'll find in other vehicles with such excellent on-road handling.

Refined Interior
Scandinavian design is frequently held up as the standard of elegant simplicity, and that's as true in a car interior as it is in a living room. By using high-quality materials and emphasizing functionality, the V60 Cross Country's interior demonstrates why overly busy interiors don't feel nearly as pleasant. But that's not to say that the interior is without flair, as Volvo offers a tailored dashboard with contrast stitching and a gear selector knob made of solid crystal by Orrefors®. Opt for the Harman Kardon Premium Sound and enjoy a 600 W digital amplifier, with 14 hi-fi speakers, including an air-ventilated subwoofer. A listening experience to match the comfort of the genuine leather upholstery and the unrivaled comfort of the seats.

High-Tech Luxury
Technology gives the V60 Cross Country a huge advantage over the competition. The drivetrain incorporates a mild hybrid system, giving a bump in low-end torque as well as fuel economy, and Volvo's advanced all-wheel drive system with Instant Tractionâ„¢ gives you excellent grip on any surface. Volvo's infotainment system is powered by built-in Google functions, meaning that Google Assisant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store all come pre-installed. In contrast to the clunky and confusing interfaces you'll still find on most cars, Volvo infotainment is as easy and intuitive as your smartphone. And this being Volvo, safety is a priority, with safety technology like Pilot Assist, BLISâ„¢ and Cross Traffic Alert, and the WHIPSâ„¢ whiplash injury protection system all coming standard.
