About The Volvo EX60
The EX60 is the all-electric alternative to the popular XC60, offering excellent practicality, incredible performance, and industry-leading technology. The design is both classically Volvo and an evolutionary leap forward, where even the door handles were designed for aerodynamics, and add a couple of miles of range all on their own. Not that the EX60 needs much help in this department, as the 400-mile maximum range far exceeds that of its competitors. And with up to 670 horsepower on tap, you can easily outrun those competitors as well. The EX60 is slightly bigger than the XC60, with lots of clever cubbies and a large rear cargo area. And while the groundbreaking electric drivetrain might be the star of the show, Volvo has significantly raised the bar for infotainment and audiophile-grade sound.
What the Critics Say
By its name alone, you can draw the reasonable (and correct) conclusion that the Volvo EX60 is the electric kissin' cousin to the company's bestselling XC60, just as the EX90 fills that role alongside the XC90. However, there's more than meets the eye here. The EX60 is Volvo's most radical and forward-thinking attempt at an electric vehicle yet.” - Car & Driver
Early impressions from our first ride in the EX60 are promising. The compact electric SUV feels quick even in midlevel form, with strong acceleration, a quiet cabin, and a comfortable ride that still allows some driver customization through adjustable steering, suspension, and regenerative braking settings. The interior looks airy and upscale without going overly minimalist.” - MotorTrend
Volvo EX60 Features

Impressive Electric Performance
In standard form, the EX60 comes with a rear-wheel drive P6 drivetrain that produces 369 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. That’s already quite a bit more than comes with the gas-powered XC60, but it doesn’t stop there. Upgrade to the all-wheel drive P10 drivetrain, and you get 503 horsepower and 524 lb-ft of torque. For performance enthusiasts, the available P12 drivetrain provides 670 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. This is enough to give the EX60 a 3.8-second 0-60 time, the quickest of any US-market Volvo model when it arrives. Electric vehicles already have an impressively low center of gravity, but the EX60 uses its batteries as part of the structure of the vehicle itself, lowering the center of gravity and improving handling. Those batteries also use 800-volt architecture, allowing for an industry-leading 370kW charging rate that can add 173 miles of range from just 10 minutes of DC fast charging.

Luxury Design
Volvo’s previous electric models have largely echoed the design language of the brand’s gas-powered models, but the EX60 changes things up considerably. That doesn’t mean it isn’t recognizably Volvo, just that a single glance will tell you it is an evolution of what came before. From the outside, the EX60 is sleek and aerodynamic, while the inside is surprisingly spacious, thanks to the extra cabin space made possible by the aforementioned low-mounted battery pack. The interior is available in a choice of four colors. Cardamom, Charcoal, and Dawn colors are available in Nordico, ventilated Nordico, or ventilated nappa leather. Rye interiors use a wool blend. Weathered grey ash wood trim comes with most colors, but Rye comes with ash wood trim that is fused with rubus for a dark red hue. The EX60 is the first Volvo model in a decade to come with a horizontal infotainment touchscreen, and the OLED screen is also the largest Volvo has ever fitted to a vehicle, coming in at 15 inches.

Advanced Technology
The electric drivetrain in the EX60 is groundbreaking, but that is only the start of what makes the EX60 a technological powerhouse. Management of the EX60’s systems is handled by the new HuginCore brain, which is capable of over 250 trillion operations per second. This makes the driver’s aids on the EX60 much more effective and allows for new technologies to be implemented. For example, the EX60 is the first vehicle in the world to come with multi-adaptive seatbelts, an entirely new technology developed by Volvo that adjusts belt tension continuously before, during, and briefly after a crash in order to maximize protection while minimizing further injuries caused by the belt itself. Like other Volvo models, the EX60 has a Google built-in infotainment operating system, but here it also includes the Gemini AI assistant. And audiophiles will be pleased to learn about the two stereos offered in the EX60. The standard system is the sort of thing that usually costs extra in other vehicles, a 21-speaker, 1,200-watt system made by Bose. But you can still upgrade further to a Bowers & Wilkins system with 28 speakers and 1,820 watts, as well as Dolby Atmos 3D audio.
