About The Volvo XC60 Plug-In Hybrid
The XC60 Plug-In Hybrid takes the hugely popular Volvo XC60 and adds a plug-in hybrid drivetrain. A simple idea, but it creates an incredible machine. You get everything you already love about the XC60, but with 35 miles of all-electric range and a fantastically exciting 455 horsepower. Coming in at 63 MPGe, there are zero compromises with the XC60 Plug-In Hybrid. You get all of the cargo space, all of the power, and all of the efficiency. There is even a Polestar Engineered trim, built for performance by the people who make Volvo racecars.

What's New for 2025
You may have already noticed the biggest change for 2025, and that is a name change from XC60 Recharge to XC60 Plug-In Hybrid, which is a thankfully less ambiguous name. The other big change for this is another name change, with the old Ultimate trim becoming Ultra.

Shocking Performance
There are a number of things you expect from a Volvo; practicality, safety, and reliability. The XC60 Plug-In Hybrid offers all of that, but also throws in blisteringly quick performance in a completely unassuming package. This is vehicle with plenty of space for groceries that will go from 0 to 60 in just 4.5 seconds. For those who want to lean into this performance, there is the Polestar Engineered trim, which includes special wheels, brakes, and a completely reworked performance suspension. But it's not just about going fast, the XC60 Plug-In Hybrid can also tow 3,500lbs, or provide up to 35 miles of all electric range.
Sophisticated Styling
Inside or out, there is no angle from which the XC60 Plug-In Hybrid doesn't look great. The interior is an exceptionally well executed example of Scadanavian design, with an emphasis on high quality materials and understated tranquility. The CleanZone air purifier keeps the interior air clean, and heated front seats come standard, with heated back seats available. The Laminated Panoramic Moonroof with Power Sunshade comes standard across all trims. An available Bowers & Wilkins premium stereo has a staggering 1,410 W of power, and is refined thought the use of Nautilus Technology. Outside, you'll find Volvo's signature Thor's Hammer LED headlights, as well as wheels ranging from 18 to 21 inches.
High-Tech Safety
Volvo has always has an excellent reputation for safety, and this has only improved as safety technology has advanced. Tech like the blid spot information system (BLIS) comes standard, and so do things like Lane Keeping Aid, Oncoming Lane Miotigation, and Road Sign Information. The XC60 has the ability to apply brakes automatically, both while traveling forward or in reverse. Even Pilot Assist technology is available, for semi-autonomous driving. And while low-speed bumps are as much of a safety concern, there is a 360o parking view, so you don't scratch your paint in tight spaces.
